Mission Statement
Our mission is to offer compassionate and contemporary medical care to the residents of the Ipswich region. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional  healthcare with genuine concern for both our patients and our team. Through regular evaluation, ongoing education, and a commitment to listening to feedback from patients and staff alike, we pursue continuous improvement in all that we do.

History
Grange Road Medical was established in 1971 by Dr. John Jackson as a solo general practice. Over the decades, it has grown into a thriving group practice, now comprising 11 General Practitioners, 2 GP Registrars, 6 Nurses, 4 Management Staff, and 9 Administrative Staff. Our purpose-built facility in Ipswich reflects our commitment to providing modern, high-quality healthcare.

Our patient base is diverse, including local residents, families associated with the nearby Amberley RAAF base, and surrounding communities. We offer a wide range of family medical services and are proud to support the evolving health needs of our growing community.

Our doctors bring a broad spectrum of experience and have developed special interests in areas including women’s health, travel medicine, paediatrics, counselling, occupational medicine, dermatology, acupuncture, ophthalmology, and mental health.

Conveniently located within the same building are services such as pathology collection, dental care, and podiatry. Grange Road Pharmacy is also just a short walk away, allowing for seamless access to prescriptions and over-the-counter care.

In 2017, we expanded our reach with the opening of Hunter Street Medical, located in Brassall Shopping Centre on the opposite side of Ipswich. This practice operates five days a week, staffed by 4 GPs per day, supported by nurses and reception staff. Hunter Street also hosts various allied health professionals, offering patients access to a wider range of healthcare services in one location.
